I love video games, not simply for the fun aspect, but to be in another world that is somewhat under my control. I'd like to work on video games to create worlds to immerse the player. I have a dream game in mind that, once successfully created, will allow me to die in peace. Although I'd like to play it a bit first.
On the technical side, I love programming C/++ and Java. Fortunately, they can be used to make games. I've made a couple of small games, but only have two simple games finished. I'm experimenting with different languages and graphics APIs before I settle with one.
I like 3d modeling because I can create something almost tangible, and because it looks cool. I'm fascinated by shader technology and all the calculations needed to create complex textures. Jim Blinn is one of my heroes.
