Psychology Minor
The psychology minor consists of six courses in the Psychology department.

- A course focusing on the cognitive basis of behavior
- A course focusing on the social/clinical basis of behavior
- Any Psyc course as long as Psyc 001 is a pre-requisite
- A course in statistics (for engineers, this must be a high 400-level class)
Note that two psych courses may be used to fulfill the Natural Science reuirement. These classes include Psyc 109, 111, 121, 135, 151 and 153. The higher 400-level statistics class can count as a math elective. Therefore, three of the seven required SSH electives must be in Psychology, according to the guidelines. Refer to the Psychology website for specifics.
Fine Arts Minor
A minor in Fine Arts requires six courses in the Design school.

- FNAR 124
- FNAR 264
- One Art History course
- Any two studios of your choice
Note that DMD already DMD recommends a number of fine arts courses including Drawing, 3D Modeling, Animation, and Film and Graphics courses. Therefore, to obtain the minor, one of your seven required SSH electives must be the art history class.

- ARCH 201
- ARCH 202
- ARCH 301 (2 cu)

Note that architecture courses can be counted as fine arts classes, though you cannot take only architecture classes to satisfy the five-credit fine arts requirement of the major. To obtain the minor, you must devote a significant portion of your SSH and/or free electives to architecture and art history.
Math Minor
The math minor consists of seven course units.

DMD currently requires six Math courses including MATH 104, MATH 114, CSE 262 (counts as being in the Math Department), in addition to CSE 260 and two electives. If you carefully plan your course selection, to complete a minor, only one credit is needed by taking another Math as a SSH or Free Elective or a cross-listed CSE course. Also refer to the Math website for specifics
Cinema Studies Minor
See the web site for more specifics about the elective courses. Approved Cinema Studies courses may be used in the COMM/FNAR requirement.
- CINE 101 (Film History)
- CINE 102 (Film Analysis and Methods)

- CSE 120/130
- CSE 121/131
- Any three other CSE courses (*CSE 110 only counts if it was taken before 120)
